Manas juggles his responsibilities as a single father, caring for his sick mother, and supporting his wife Pratima, who tries to explore alternative employment opportunities, from being a masseuse to a cleaner at a shopping mall. While the freedom of these new experiences brings her joy, they also come with fear and uncertainty.

Most of the film's production took place in Bhubaneswar, with the director utilizing the unique local flavor and employing local actors and artists in supporting roles.
